Job: Loss Mitigation Specialist II

Please consider the following opportunity for Loss Mitigation Specilaists - In this challenging position you will be:

Responsible for counseling borrowers in hardship situations.

Determine if a mutual agreement can be reached between borrower and investor to minimize loss.

Work loan files and converse with borrowers.

Initiate contact with workout candidates, request workout package for program that meets customer’s need.

Review incoming packages for accuracy and completeness.

Review foreclosure referrals to determine workout options considered.

Follow up on payment plans to ensure payments are received.

Process short sales and modifications.

Negotiate and close chosen resolutions with customers, brokers and attorneys.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

College degree preferred, but not required.

Minimum 3-5 years of direct Loss Mitigation experience.

Knowledge of Mortgage Collections, Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure and Bankruptcy knowledge a plus.

Strong relationship building and negotiation skills required
