Blog Post: Career EXPO is coming - have you registered?

Career EXPO is coming! Tuesday, October 7th from noon to 5PM at Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth! Come meet with great local employers who want to meet you for your next career move.

On a personal note, and I tell this story all the time, when I was a job seeker I didn't realize that job fairs are for everyone. This is the place to meet recruiters and hiring managers. These folks typically recruit for all types of positions. Not just one type of job seeker.  

So here is what you need to do to attend. First, go to our home page. You can do it right here: Career Expo. Then register to attend. Print our your quick pass and bring it with you. Just go ahead and do that right now while you're thinking about it.

Remember to bring your resume in a hard copy form and on a flip drive. We will have resume reviewers on site who can look over your current resume. Then you can simply step over to the computer terminals to spruce up your image, print a new resume and make as many copies as you need to put your best foot forward. Thanks to DeVry University for providing the computers and IKON for letting you use their copy machines to get a new version.

Next, on Expo day, get your best interviewing clothes on. This is not a time to "drop by between errands". Dress as you would for an interview because that's exactly what it is. Get a hair cut if you need one and shine up your shoes. Make sure your nails are neat and clean. Put on your best suit and come on down to Will Rogers. There is free parking and free admission.
