Blog Post: Pre-Apprenticeship Opportunity for the Construction Industry.

The IEC Fort Worth/Tarrant County Chapter Pre-Apprenticeship training program provides women and men with little or no previous experience in the construction and/or electrical field with the necessary skills to seek employment in the industry.
Successful completion of this program will provide students the skills that could enable them to enter into the construction and/or electrical industry allowing them to earn a living wage with the potential for upward mobility. All applicants must be at least 17 years of age. The program lasts six (6) weeks (240 hours). PROGRAM: October 12 – November 20, 2009. Pre-apprenticeship candidates will meet Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. with 30 minutes for lunch. All candidates must be approved for WIA funding through Workforce Solutions.
