posted Wednesday, August 5, 2009 10:56 AM
The Southeast Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SEDHCC) is hosting a Hispanic Festival and Celebration featuring a consumer, education, health and employment expo on Saturday, September 12, 2009 in the Southeast Dallas area. The event is being held at Iguana located at 400 South Buckner. The projected attendance is approximately 5,000 – 7,000. This is the great opportunity for your organizations to raise awareness and/or to raise funds! You may sell anything but beverages. All proceeds you make are yours! Non-Profit Organization booths are shown on the form in the package attached. The only request SEDHCC is requesting from each booth is one item for the raffle drawings.
There will be several contests including a Chihuahua Race and Chihuahua Costume Contest, Selena look-a-like contest, Michael Jackson look-a-like contest, Tamale Cook-Off, Jalapeño Eating Contest and a Mariachi Playoff. Do you know of any entertainers? Have them contact the Chamber to join the other entertainers that are scheduled. Are you interested in volunteering for the event? A volunteer meeting is held each Wednesday at 9:00am at the new Eastfield College Pleasant Grove Campus Community Room located at 802 S. Buckner Blvd. Dallas , TX 75217. For more information on how your organization can participate at this event contact Arcenia Morales at amorales@sedhcc.com or (469) 855-1934.
