Blog Post: Looking for Learners!

I recently heard a representative from Google speak and he mentioned that they "hire learners". I was excited to hear what they did and how they do it and then I thought to myself - we do the same thing - so what is it that Jobing.com looks for?

We look for someone who is passionate about learning - someone who's taken an active role in educating themselves! They have taken on the responsibility to learn more about their job, on their own - by subscribing to an industry magazine, by reading a book, by subscribing to the latest BLOG on that topic, or by just doing more of that same work - by becoming an expert.

Other ways it can be shown that they are interested in learning (as the Google guy stated), is by checking to see does a candidate have any certifications (PHR, SPHR, CPA, CPP, and there are many more!). Also - look to see - have you taken on a new project, a new career or even changed careers which shows an interest in learning something new!

Mentioning the latest book you've read is always good too!
