The Fort Worth/Mid-Cities Chapter of ASTD is hosting a Training Class on Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Hurst.
Course Objectives: This course is designed to be an interactive and multi-sensory learning experience. Training techniques are both discussed and demonstrated simultaneously. Topics which will be explored include: 1. Engaging your audience - Activity and brain based learning 2. The physiology of learning 3. Generational learning differences and training technique for new generations 4. How and why “Old School “learning systems have evolved 5. Right Brain/Left Brain learning functionality and teaching techniques 6. Where do games fit, and how games can help us train At the end of the session, each member of the winning team will receive the TGI 6-Pack PowerPoint Games - a $100 value. Gary has a Master's Degree in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco and a B.A. in Psychology from New York State University at Geneseo. He has over 26 years of experience in corporate training and various corporate management positions. Gary consults and lectures on interactive training techniques focusing on the use of games to train. He considers himself a "Trainer" above all else. The date is of the program is Friday, April 11, 2008. Time: 3 Hours. Morning session: 8:30am - 11:45am (including a 15 minute break). Repeated: 1:00pm - 4:15pm (including a 15 minute break).
