Blog Post: Fort Worth ranked Fifth for Jobs by Forbes Magazine

Hey Y'all, Fort Worth has claimed the fifth spot in the rankings of the "Best Cities for Jobs in 2008" by Forbes Magazine. The rankings were based on five criteria with each one receiving equal weight in the study. These key indicators were:

Texas' unemployment rate
job growth
income growth
median household income
cost of living (all of 2006 and a portion of 2007)

Other cities in Texas making the top spots on the list are Austin at Number 3, Houston at Number 7, San Antonio at Number 11 and Dallas at Number 18. McAllen and El Paso round out the list of Texas cities with spots 33 and 49 respectively.
