Profile: Medical City Dallas Hospital

Medical City is a 660-bed tertiary care center located in the heart of North Dallas at Central Expressway and Forest Lane. The hospital is home to Medical City Children's Hospital, the world-renowned Dallas Craniofacial Center and one of the top Transplant Centers in the country.

Over 1,150 physicians practice more than 95 medical specialties at Medical City. Patients come from all over the United States and 75 foreign countries to receive healthcare that is recognized on local, national and international levels.

Medical City Children's Hospital is a comprehensive children's hospital that serves as a regional referral center. Specialists from virtually every pediatric subspeciality, including cardiovascular, craniofacial, oncology and neuroscience services, practice here.

Medical City was the first hospital in North Texas to be recognized as a Magnet hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) for excellence in nursing care. 

Medical City is one of only 15 hospitals nationwide to be named a 2008-2009 Hospital of Choice - by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers (AAHCP), an award highlighting "America's Most Customer-Friendly Hospitals."
