Our Mission:
The Career Alliance Team at St. Jude’s Parish will create programs and opportunities within a Christian faith-based environment, to empower its parishioners who may be unemployed or underemployed to prepare for, enter, and thrive in the workforce.
Our mission is broken down into four core values:

- Provide networking opportunities
- Offer connections with a variety of resources
The work of the St. Jude’s Career Assistance Team stems from a simple conviction: we can do better for our parishioners in need when we operate from a foundation of our Christian faith while drawing upon the unique strengths of every willing partner.
The Career Alliance Goals:
Help those who are seeking new opportunities, advancement, worried about their current position or have recently found themselves laid off or unemployed through the execution of the following:
- Provide initial and ongoing advice and support to parishioners to strengthen:
- Self esteem and Self worth
- Job change confidence
- And always attending to spiritual needs (religious staff
- Planning and development of Human Resource related activities such as:
- Resume Writing preparation and Interview skills development
- Career Fair/Resource Fair planning
- Career Guidance
- Networking and outreach activities to generate:
- Employer Contacts
- Provide resources that can guide parishioners through financial issues related to shelter, food, or debt management
- Create an interface for federal, state and local agencies or resources
- Create and manage technology and resources that will facilitate visibility and accessibility to:
- Job Postings
- Resume Posting
- Gather the needs of the parish and identify resources available to provide support*
- Business Center/Resource Room
- Identify other links/websites that will serve as career resources
