Since 1986, the Dallas ISD ACP program has prepared thousands of teachers for the school district. Many have become school leaders in Dallas ISD and other school districts. Through a continuous-improvement process, the DISD Alternative Certification Program remains one of the top educator preparation programs in the state. The DISD-ACP has several advantages over other alternative certification programs:

The Dallas Independent School District Alternative Certification Program is a district-based alternative certification program and offers:

Note: Elementary Generalists (Bilingual & ESL) and Special Education applicants must successfully pass the TExES 101 (EC – 4 Generalist) Exam to be eligible to interview with a principal.
