Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County is a proactive partner in the economic development of our county through workforce improvement services that serve both the jobseeker and small, medium and large businesses.

Tarrant County is one of the fastest growing urban counties in the country today and we are here to support our existing employers and provide an attractive environment for future employers.

Our work is focused on work within industry clusters. Harvard Business School Professor Michael Porter popularized this concept which is defined as “a geographic concentration of competing and cooperating companies, suppliers, service providers, and associated institutions”. Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County is part of the Regional Workforce Leadership Council, a collaoration of workforce boards, chambers, business and education that furthers the cluster concept in our region. In Tarrant County, we support the Regional Aerospace Cluster and have targeted efforts inthe following sectors:

• Life Sciences and
• Hospitality
• Advanced Manufacturing.

Our eight Workforce Centers offer a variety of services to help the jobseeker find the job that matches his/her skills and abilities and in many cases can provide training and education to advance those skills.
