Vacation: 1 week after completing six months of employment; 10 days after 2 years ; 12 days after 5 years; 3 weeks after 11 years and 4 weeks for 16 years or over. Sick Leave: 8 hours accrued per month; maximum 120 days or 960 hours. Holidays: 12 per calendar year. Insurance: Denton County provides Health/Dental Insurance with minimal cost to all regular full time employees; group life insurance per employee paid by Denton County; optional life insurance; dependent life insurance; and long-tem disability. Retirement: Denton County is a member of the Texas County and District Retirement System. Employees are vested after eight years of service. Longevity Pay: Employees hired after Sept. 30, 02 will receive $5.00/month for each year of service with the county up to and including 25 years. Personal Leave: Regular full-time employees who have completed probation will received eight (8) hours Personal Leave January 1st and eight (8) hours Personal Leave July 1st of each year. Funeral Leave: Regular and part-time employees may be granted up to three (3) consecutive work days for the purpose of attending the funeral of, or attending to the details concerning the death of a member of the employee’s immediate family.
