Jobing Description
I. Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy approved by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Must be currently licensed to practice in the state of Texas. II. Performance Requirements Responsible for: 1. Maintaining standards as set down by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners regarding treatment procedure and professional ethics. 2. Evaluating physical status of the patient under the written orders of a physician. 3. Planning and the execution of the patients physical therapy program in cooperation with the patients physician. 4. Scheduling, supervision and/or execution all treatments & re-evaluating the patients physical status at periodic intervals. 5. Scheduling all patients so that the maximum care can be assured with the least amount of confusion and conflict on the part of the patient. 6. Maintaining accurate clinical records and conferring with the physician and, if applicable, Case Manager in regard to patients status, care and progress. 7. Determining progression in treatment and recording significant changes in patients progress. Other responsibilities: 1. Integrating the work of the physical therapy services with other disciplines to better enhance patient care when needed. 2. Maintain safe practices both in treatment and in equipment care. 3. Keeping abreast of recent advances in the physical therapy profession through literature and meetings. 4. Instructing the patient, family and/or nursing personnel in the use of adaptive equipment which are determined to be necessary for the patients rehabilitation.
