Jobing Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Coordination, planning and implementation of resident(s) to receive the necessary care and services.

Make daily work assignments, directs work and schedules lunch and rest breaks.

Replaces call-ins for the unit when necessary.

Reassigns employees from one area to another as needed.

Prepares and gives in a timely manner written evaluations of assigned employees.

Enforces facility policies with authority to issue Disciplinary Action. Reports and suspends employees for rules violations as needed.

Participates in training programs and assists in orientation of new staff.

Participates as requested in the admission process to help determine if the facility can meet the physical and psychosocial needs of prospective resident’s within the appropriate financial guidelines.

Makes rounds daily to ensure that each resident receives timely, appropriate nursing care and to evaluate the performance of nursing services personnel.

May be required to lift and transfer residents.

Skills / Requirements

Current Texas RN license

Supervisory experience
