Job: Inbound Sales Representative

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for generating sales and leads for new installs, conversions, Home Technology, Dealer, system takeovers and special marketing programs by responding to incoming calls from prospective customers and efficiently and effectively facilitates the sales process with courtesy and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Handle sales calls to qualify leads and sell security systems in a professional, courteous manner
* Promote and sell products, services and/or related accessories through proven sales techniques to meet and surpass department goals
* Use pre-established guidelines to sell security systems, promote products and services, as well as overcome objections and convert opportunities to customers
* Understand and support sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to all customers
* Obtain information for credit check procedures as well as obtain a prepayment on most sales
* Contact cancellations and attempt to reschedule the installation date
* Collect vital information for the marketing department to track marketing source and discount promotion codes
* Provide potential customers with relevant information including, but not limited to, product features and benefits, pricing and additional system information
* Acquire and maintain technical and professional knowledge and skills required to effectively meet and/or exceed departmental objectives
* Perform miscellaneous duties as directed

The individual must be able to follow policies and procedures, and show team building and leadership skills.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or General Education degree (GED) required. Some college courses preferred. A minimum of six months experience in sales/call center preferred.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Proficiency with computer hardware components and software packages. Ability to work in a 1-800 automated call routing environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, prospects, customers, and the public.

Ability to speak multiple languages desirable.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including monetary units.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
