Jobing Description

The Walgreens Distribution Center in Waxahachie, Texas is currently hiring for Maintenance Technicians.

Experienced Maintenance Technician responsible for:

Performing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment and distribution center building facilities.

Must respond to and complete verbal and written service requests accurately and on schedule.

Equipment includes automated material handling systems.

PC based Automated Storage and Retrieval System material handling stacker crane system which will require above average mechanical, electrical and controls expertise.

Personnel may occasionally be required to work at the +100-foot level.

Skills / Requirements

Two to three years prior maintenance experience in an automated distribution center or industrial complex environment.

Applicant must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift and/or weekends.

Prefer at least three years experience working with PLC controlled conveyor systems, and/or PC based stacker cranes.

Electrical background and experience with 480, 240, & 120-volt motor required. Certification from a 2-year technical program preferred.

Conveyor Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance experience with automated material handling equipment valuable

Experience working with powered belt and roller conveyor systems a MUST

Forklift repair experience a plus.
