Job: Project Manager - Bilingual - Hispanic Initiative

The Hispanic Initiative Bilingual Project Manager is a crucial role for the future success of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas. This Initiative seeks to reach the Hispanic community, immersing this demographic into Girl Scouts.

This is a newly created and highly visible position in a challenging and mission-driven environment. The Project Manager’s focus will be on project specific work which includes but not limited to:

Become knowledgeable about Girl Scouts, Council history, goals and the Hispanic Initiative materials to understand the scope and requirements of this project.

HI Readiness Evaluation – department by department evaluation

Develop a Hispanic Initiative Readiness proposal

Work with the Membership Director and Volunteer Department to develop an approach for soliciting service units to participate in the initiative

Determine the scope and purpose of the Hispanic Advisory committee

Develop collateral materials for the meeting and committee

Draft a Marketing Plan for Hispanic Volunteer Recruitment to support the initiative

Help create a marketing program to fund the initiative

Identify source for Staff training related to the initiative

Review Volunteer Department-Related Materials

Review Membership Department-Related Materials

Generate ideas and a draft a document regarding each department’s role in the initiative

Evaluate current staff’s bilingual capabilities to determine our ability to provide customer service to volunteers & parents

Demonstrated large scale project experience.
Ability to establish and build rapport with diverse audiences.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be utilized in a data-driven environment.
B.A. or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Three years plus in related function.
Ability to work independently.
Proficient in MS Office and MS Project.
Bi-lingual Spanish required.
