Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Security Guard License from the Texas Dept. of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau.

To qualify for a Security Guard an applicant must:

Be 18 years of age or older.

Be a citizen of the U.S. or are legally eligible to work in the U.S., i.e. resident alien.

Have never been convicted of any felony.

Have never been convicted of any misdemeanor involving:

Fraud,

Physical violence (assault, endangerment, domestic violence, etc.)

Sexual misconduct (rape, sexual abuse, etc.),

Illegal use or possession of a deadly weapon (includes firearms),

Any theft or drugs (within five years proceeding application date).

Not be on probation or parole.

Not have an outstanding arrest warrant.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing with coworkers and the public.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Must have a personal pager and/or phone.

Must have reliable transportation including a personal vehicle or motorcycle. Public transportation does not qualify.

Physical Requirements- Must have the ability to detect sounds and noises within normal ranges, ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds, ability to walk or stand for long periods of time, ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs, ability to pull or drag an injured person to safety, and the ability to comprehend gauges and dials and record the results.
