Jobing Description

The UPS Associate’s primary responsibility is to unload product from UPS truck trailers and verify printed invoices by matching product and quantity received.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Unload received product from UPS trailers in a timely manner based on quality and production standards

Open cardboard boxes using a manual box cutter in a safe manner

Unpack products manually from the cardboard boxes and arrange product into totes

Verify invoices by matching product and quantity received with printed invoices

Record any discrepancies found between the invoice and actual product or quantity received

Communicate any issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or anything else that would cause loss to the company or its associates.

Work closely with the other team members to ensure that daily goals are obtained or exceeded in keeping a steady flow of work moving through the department. Willingly perform any other task requested by a Lead, Supervisor, or Management when needed to help achieve balance of flow.

Follow all known safety procedures and utilize good judgment at all times

Skills / Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

Communicate effectively with management and co-workers

Must be a team player; flexible, dependable and cooperative

Ability to work under demanding time constraints and workflow

Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Must be able to operate a manual non-motorized hand pallet jack

Dexterity/Ability to utilize writing utensils (pen/pencil), calculators, small hand-held tools, manual razors and other mechanical/electrical equipment without assistance

Ability to work under minimal supervision
