Jobing Description

The Refurb Memory Storage Devices associate’ main job function is to inspect, format, and clean memory storage devices of various types including memory cards and hard drives.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

Inspect product for cosmetic or functional defects to ensure the best quality is obtained

Format memory storage devices to guarantee complete data removal from the units

Accurately sort units between passes and fails

Clean passed units and prepare them for optimal presentation at the store level

Track daily production and provide reports to area lead as needed

Communicate any issues to management that could result in process delays, safety issues, or anything else that would cause loss to the company or its associates

Work closely with the other team members to ensure that daily goals are obtained or exceeded in keeping a steady flow of work moving through the department

Follow all known safety procedures and utilize good judgment at all times

Skills / Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

Must be detailed oriented to accurately determine quality of memory storage devices

Able to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook software programs and able to operate a personal computer

Must be able to perform multiple operations at same time, i.e., formatting three or more devices at one time and keep track of each one

Proficient written and verbal communication skills

Organize, prioritize, and control job responsibilities in order to meet established deadlines.

Able to work with minimal supervision

Able to recognize discrepancies in written/recorded data/information
