Job: Hardware Technicians, Level 1

Pay rate: $10.50/hour (level 1)

Workdays: Monday-Fridays, some Saturdays mandatory

Shifts: 2nd shift: 3:30pm – 11:30pm; 3rd shift: 11:30pm – 7:00am

Summary: Position provides support to the Refurbishing Department by repairing hardware systems meeting high level of quality and commitment set in place for our customers. There will be a reasonable period of time to learn the functions of the job before departmental expectation to meet production/accuracy standards.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

· Refubished hardware units meet the quality assurance standards guidelines

· Responsible for calculating/recording information related to hardware refurbishing guidelines

· Job performance meets the production and accuracy standards of the department

Essential Job Skills/Abilities:

· Comprehensive understanding of hardware systems (PS2, PS3, XBox, Game Cube, Game Boy, etc.)

· Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

· Ability to operate soldering equipment and manual razors, unassisted

· Must be able to lift as required by department: up to 50 pounds

· Must be able to bend, stoop, reach over head with arms and hands; must be able to climb stairs up to three flights

· Ability to walk and stand for 8 hours or more a day, work under demanding time constraints

· Must be a team player; flexible and dependable and cooperative

· Ability to communicate in basic English


Education and/or Experience:

· High School Diploma or equivalent certification (GED) – (Applies to Level 1 Hardware Tech position)

· Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Technology or Computer Science or minimum of High School Diploma (or equivalent certification) plus knowledgeable in repairing 1-2 premium systems (PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, GameCube, etc.).- (Applies to Level 2 Hardware Tech position)

· Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent certification in electronics field; must have knowledge/experience to repair 3 or more gaming platforms (Xbox 360, PS2, GameCube, etc.) – (Applies to Level 3 Hardware Tech position)

· Must be at least 18 years of age and present any state required proof of age documents
