The City of Fort Worth is seeking a qualified individual to provide a variety of intake and assessment related functions within Municipal Court.

The position will review and process requests for jail time served; generate time payment extension plans for defendants who are unable to pay for citations in full; follow up and make recommendations on cases for defendants that have failed to appear or comply with time payment extension plans; explain policies and procedures of time payment extension plans; set up, process and maintain community service plans; facilitate orientation sessions for community service and time payment extension plan defendants; follow-up with defendants who are delinquent in payments through collection enforcement; conduct site visits for community service plans; and serve as a back-up for the off-site School Attendance Court staff.

Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and computer skills required. This position requires heavy telephone and in person contact. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred.

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in Psychology or college level course work in sociology, social work or a related field.

Two years of experience in interviewing/eligibility assessment for a social services or related program.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:The shift will be a set rotating schedule hours will be a combination of 7am -4pm or 11 am 7pm, Monday Friday.

The Municipal Court operates 24 hours per day, this includes weekends and holidays. The incumbent must commit to the possibility of working any shift within a 24 hour period, any day of the week, as needed.
