Job: Senior Engineering Technician

Performs transportation project inspection to ensure that projects are completed in conformance with approved plans, specifications and all City, County, TXDOT, and federal regulations. This is accomplished by overseeing construction; resolving construction problems, reviewing sign/pavement marking and signal plans. Other duties include responding to citizen requests regarding traffic issues; determining use and placement of appropriate traffic control devices; perform traffic studies. Must be familiar with TMUTCD and work zone traffic control plan.

Requires: High School diploma or GED supplemented by college credit, vocational, business, technical or correspondence school and two years in a traffic signal & pavement marking related field. IMSA certification level I in work zone and level II in signal and sign and marking is required.

Valid Texas driver's license required.


Starting Salary:$14.72 - $23.55
