Job: Firefighter / Paramedic Process

The City of Southlake partners with Tarrant County College to conduct the Physical Ability Test (PAT).
TCC will conduct the next PAT on Monday, November 16, 2009. See the registration information below.

How to Apply
City of Southlake will only accept applications for an open position. All applicants must successfully complete the TCC Physical Ability Test and the City of Southlake Written Test prior to applying. Please review the process below for registration and test information.

Testing Process
1 - Physical Ability Test
The Physical Ability Test is conducted by Tarrant County College and is valid for six months from the date of issue.

Test Information
Test Date- November 16, 2009. Check in begins at 8:00 AM.

2 - Written Test
The City of Southlake requires and administers a written test (when job openings are available). Successful completion of the Physical Ability Test is required to participate in the written test.

City of Southlake Minimum Requirements
These requirements MUST be met to apply with the City of Southlake.

Minimum age of applicant is 19 years old

Must have a High School diploma or GED and a valid Texas driver's license

Must be a Certified Fire Fighter & EMT Paramedic OR Certified EMT Paramedic OR Certified Fire Fighter & Paramedic student within six months of graduation

An extensive background check will be conducted
