Service Manager

We are currently hiring for a Service Manager!

Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Schedule and coordinate breaks and lunches of checkers and sackers.
  • Respond promptly to customers needs. Attempt to resolve any customer questions or
    problems. Promote good public relations. Monitor checkout stations to reduce customer delay.
    Clear voids off of regiester and handle refunds.
  • Approve checks for customers as necessary.
  • Insure that shopping carts are promptly removed from parking areas and returned to
    store.
  • Insure that front end area is clean at all times.
  • Assist in the training of checkers and sackers in store policies, security, and job duties.
  • Thorough knowledge of front end operation and location of store products.
  • Specific
    knowledge of duties performed by front-end employees. Knowledge of store layout.
  • Working knowledge of company policies and guideline as outlined in the Randalls/Tom
    Thumb Employee Handbook.

  • Skills / Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of six months experience as a checker with Tom Thumb or
    comparable retail grocery store.
  • Meet minimum company standards on promotional interview.
  • Independant mobility within the store.
  • Standing and Walking for up to 8 hours.
  • Occasional crouching and stooping to reach low storage areas.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to handle boxes and supplies. Finger dexterity to handle cash
    register keys and papers.
  • Must be 18 and flexible to work a changing schedule.
