Department: WATER
SALARY: $15.16 to $18.44 Hourly ANN#: K46-24 CLOSING DATE: Wednesday, November 18, 2009 LOCATION/ADDITIONAL INFO: APPLY ONLINE ONLY There is one vacancy in the Water Conservation Section working Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm. To perform technical tasks associated with water pressure complaints, water quality, wastewater investigations and underground leak detection. Successful candidate will perform field investigations relating to water and wastewater inquiries and complaints. Skills / Requirements
High school diploma or GED certificate PLUS two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience with the technical tasks associated with the operation, repair, monitoring, and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. Preference given to applicants familiar with residential, commercial and/or industrial water and wastewater piping and water use practices, and/or experience in the location and design of underground utilities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Possession of a Class D Water License at time of hire and ability to obtain a Class C Water Distribution License within one (1) year of employment is required. MISC. REQUIREMENTS:City of Fort Worth policy on acceptable driving record required. Possession of a valid Class C drivers license and an acceptable driving record required. Important Notes
