The Dallas/Fort Worth SMA (DFW SMA) is a Professional Special Interest Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Since 1994, the Professional Leadership Program (PLP) has been a cooperative effort between the University of North Texas College of Business and corporate sponsors in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex community. The purpose of the program is to give exposure to skills needed in preparation for the complex world of employment. PLP provides students with the opportunity to meet with representatives from the corporate community and to attend the same training programs that are required for profession.
