Description:

AMS Pictures is seeking a Production Manager to be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of production and post operations.  AMS has partnered with a corporate client to assist in their daily video operations and the Production Manager will serve as the key point of contact between AMS and our partner.

The Project Manager should have the following attributes: determination, ability to multi-task, extremely organized, quick learning skills, and self-direction. Will work directly with our partner's Media Operations Manager, internal / external producers, department managers and crews in ensuring any production and/or post requests are executed.  Must adhere to company values: professionalism, positive attitude, profitability, quality and client service.

Company will not provide for relocation.

Duties:

Production Manager

  • Responsible for assisting the Media Operations Manager with..
    • Manage and coordinate all project schedules
    • Coordination of video team staff on daily tasks
    • Assist with equipment coordination for production shoots
    • Think big-picture and find economical solutions when multiple projects are taking place at the same time
  • Lead internal meetings to discuss current projects, future projects and daily tasks
  • Provides analysis of current schedule and offers solutions on streamlining bookings in an organized and efficient manner
  • Work with the Project Leads & internal clients to coordinate crew and equipment needs for production shoots.
  • Lead discovery calls with internal clients to ascertain what their desired deliverables are and then formulate those into a plan
  • Work with producers and other team members to coordinate edit suites and editors for all post work.
  • Coordinate with AMS to align crew & gear assignments
  • Ensure deadlines are being met by team members
  • Tracks and provides monthly reports regarding outside costs incurred through scheduling (like renting equipment, freelancers, etc.)
  • Ensures accurate information is put into the scheduling software for actualization.
  • Could assist in a production role if needed (and as time allows)

Qualifications:

  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • At least 5 years experience in a video production coordinator/manager role.
  • Prefers candidates with and advanced knowledge of a full service production facility along with general technical & production equipment knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills are required.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Must be able to work in high pressure and fast-moving situations and maintain composure.
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and time management skills are essential to the success of this job.
  • Knowledge of industry scheduling & project management programs is a plus, specifically Farmer's Wife
