Grow your career as a Channel Manager- SEO with Apple Leisure Group. In this role, you will help to manage Search Engine Optimization across multiple brands and platforms, with direct impact on the P&L.

A successful Channel Manager- SEO will:

  • Develop strategies to increase highly engaged and converting organic traffic to 6 brands, including Cheapcaribbean.com, Beachbound.com, Applevacations.com, Southwestvacations.com, Unitedvacations.com and Funjet.com
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to improve site infrastructure, taxonomy, naming standards, off-page content, and domain authority
  • Work closely with Brand Marketing to define a content creation strategy, build an editorial calendar, and drive adherence to SEO best practices
  • Assist in defining and executing a strategy for UX improvements across multiple product experiences
  • Collaborate with SEM channel manager to conduct keyword research, uncover gaps in coverage, and identify opportunities to drive more qualified traffic through a coordinated search strategy
  • Define SEO projects for IT teams and driving towards completion
  • Manage our SEO agency, including brainstorming strategies, prioritizing tasks, and allocating effort across brands
  • Ensure product releases meet SEO needs with ongoing QA and communication of recommended changes
  • Facilitate SEO training sessions with Engineering, Product, and Content teams to inspire the organization follow the latest SEO best practices
  • Manage and tracking SEO channel performance against business targets
  • Effectively communicate program results and recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Work in Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics 360, and using 3rd party tools like Yoast, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, STAT
  • Work in a collaborative team environment to consistently exceed expectations

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical or technical field (ideally MIT, Computer Science or Digital Marketing)
  • At least 4-8 years of hands-on SEO experience in a cutting-edge environment, either at a top performing digital agency or in a large e-commerce business
  • Thorough understanding of website best practices and factors which influence rankings, indexation, display within search engines
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO (sitemaps, crawl budget, canonicalization)
  • Experience working with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization and website performance
  • Experience conducting keyword research, creating content strategies, and writing SEO-friendly copy
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics 360
  • Experience using issue and project tracking software
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing agency relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple brands and stakeholders
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to dig extensively into metrics and analytics
  • Travel industry e-commerce experience
  • Experience with 3rd party SEO tools like Yoast, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, STAT
  • Experience with Paid Search marketing
  • Familiarity with Adobe Omniture
