  •   Seeking a certified Agriculture Science Teacher for the 2019-20 School Year at Burleson Centennial High School.
    Position Summary:
    Full time, Ag position in a two teacher Agri-Science Department.
    Local Parameters:
    All applications will be reviewed, however, candidates who possess the following characteristics will be given the highest consideration:
    • Three+ years successful Agriculture Science teaching experience in Texas
    • Extensive knowledge and skills in LDE’s and CDE’s
    • Experience with student Agriculture Animal projects for competitions, specifically cattle
    • Proven leadership capabilities in a multiple teacher department
    • Ability to utilize instructional technologies to optimize instruction
    • Experience in teaching Ag Mech and Ag Structures
    Position Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
    • Valid Texas teaching certificate for Agriculture Sciences

    Other Information:
    • 225 day contract (12 month) + $5,000 local stipend – position starts July 1, 2019
    • Ag pickups and trailers for school use
    • 51 acre Ag Farm with outstanding facilities
    • Seeking a strong classroom and laboratory instructor
    • Organize and oversee multiple student Agriculture Animal projects for the county and major show levels
    • Must possess a high level of leadership, organization, and communication skills
    • Train LDE and CDE teams that are highly competitive at the district, area, and state levels
    • Supervise SAE’s – primarily cattle for the county and major show levels
    • Attend District, Area, and State conventions and conferences
    • Familiar with AET record keeping and student award/degree applications
    • Seeking a team player to provide exemplary leadership and collaboration in the district
