    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university; a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teaching certification; Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or instruction preferred
    • Seven or more years of teaching experience in a Career and Technical Education area; three years of Career and Technical Education administrative experience preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other district departments as well as internal departments in the division
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work in a team; ability to teach students and adults; ability to take initiative and be self-directed
    • Knowledge of careers, colleges and pathways to both; general understanding of career and technical education programs
    • Experience related to NAF and Project Lead the Way programs preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional

    • Provide curriculum and technical support to CTE teachers in the CTE Career Clusters
    • Coordinate with the Math, Science and Computer Science Departments and other core curriculum departments to ensure integrated programs
    • Provide leadership for the Achieve Texas Model of Career and Technical Education
    • Provide leadership for the National Academy Foundation model of program standards and quality
    • Provide leadership for the Project Lead The Way programs
    • Work with Strategic Initiatives and External Relations and Career and Technical Education team members, business partners, campus leadership, and teachers to evaluate, improve, and build quality Career and Technical Education programs
    • Assist with certification and dual credit opportunities for CTE career programs and Career Clusters
    • Assist teachers in assigned areas with identifying and securing appropriate resources
    • Prepare all related program budgets and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
    • Monitor effective utilization of funding resources
    • Recommend qualified teachers for employment
    • Keep abreast and inform teachers of current and emerging professional trends and developments affecting Career and Technical Education curriculum and instruction
    • Work with Career and Technical Education team members on activities and projects related to Career and Technical Education and District improvement targets and goals
    • Design, develop and implement quality professional development experiences for the teachers in CTE Career Clusters
    • Work with CTE teachers to establish effective business partners which will provide work based learning and internship experiences for Dallas ISD students
    • Plan, coordinate and implement college and career field trips for CTE students
    • Facilitate Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) activities as needed
    • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
    • All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate

    Salary Minimum: $65,851

    Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer – Human Capital Management.
