  •   QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
    • Five to seven years administrative investigative experience
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and LOCAL laws, ordinances, and policies. Knowledge of Texas
    • Criminal Code of Procedure and Texas Penal Code preferred
    • Demonstrated knowledge of the techniques, methods and procedures used in gathering information and evidence and conducting investigations
    • Investigate leads, secure facts and examine evidence and scenes to establish the extent of violations
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Professional, particularly in Excel and Access databases


    BASIC FUNCTIONS:
    • Conduct lower level administrative investigations with limited discretions relating to alleged violations of Dallas ISD policies and procedures.
    • Assist the Executive Director with the Case Management System
    • Participate in the peer review process
    • Collect, analyze and process evidence relating to instances of alleged misconduct, child abuse and neglect, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other alleged violations of District policy
    • Investigate leads, secure facts and examine evidence and scenes to establish the extent of violations
    • Interview victims, informants, witnesses, and respondents and prepare memoranda of interviews of fact and detailed reports of investigation
    • Conduct follow-up investigations of preliminary investigations
    • Exchange information with other PSO personnel, other Dallas ISD personnel, and law enforcement agencies, as appropriate
    • Maintain appropriate liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, courts, correctional facilities, the Texas Education Agency and other school districts
    • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned


    Salary Minimum: $57,262

    Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the chief officer – Human Capital Management.
