    1. Assist teacher in maintaining a career and technology pre-employment lab
    2. Assist teacher in preparing and developing appropriate instructional materials
    3. Assist teacher with presentation of instructional materials and student assessment
    4. Assist teacher with student discipline, behavior problems, personal needs
    5. Assist teacher with keeping parents informed about their child's progress and attendance problems
    6. Assist teacher in supervising students in the proper use and operation of machines and equipment
    7. Assist teacher in maintaining a current inventory of equipment and supplies
    8. Assist teacher with clerical responsibilities such as maintaining student files
    9. Assist teacher in other related duties as needed in the career and technology pre-employment lab and building

    Qualifications:
    1. Accredited Senior High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency), plus one of the following: Associate degree, 48 college credit hours, or pass an academic assessment
    2. Paraprofessional certificate required from State Board of Certification
    3. Minimum of one year experience in business/industry
    4. Community college or trade school courses desired but not required
    5. Knowledge of personal computers
    6. Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public
      Understand special needs of exceptional children as they relate to handicapping conditions
    Salary:
    Minimum:
    $22,858
    Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to current District promotional policy and compensation guidelines. A campus-based employee may not assume a new position for which he/she was selected based upon the posting process until the end of the current semester, unless approved by the Executive Director, Human Resources. A security check and disclosure of family relationship information is required for all positions.
