Service Management & Tools – Global Monitoring Services – Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited
Seeking a candidate with solid understanding of Client/Server operating systems, Networking Hardware and Web Application endpoints' operations from a monitoring capacity. Extensive experience of managing monitoring systems interface and utilizing monitoring tools in large environments.
The candidate should be able to troubleshoot all aspects of the mentioned area effectively and understand the product configuration, flow and logging details. The candidate should understand fully the monitoring system infrastructure including configuration, tuning, customization and centralized management.
Automation, being people focused and forward thinking plays a big part in the success of the team and organization. The candidate should have experience with PowerShell using home grown and vendor supplied module files/toolkits
You should be someone excited with the challenge of bringing new thinking to operations and is passionate about imagining and implementing improvements and relentlessly pursues excellence, is a deep and broad technical expert, and can build trusting relationships across teams.
Work you'll do
•Ongoing management and administration of monitoring services enterprise systems - Microsoft System Centre Operations Manager, SquaredUp and Orion SolarWinds platform modules
•Web Application/Web Application endpoints monitoring toolset management and administration e.g. NewRelic, AlertSite
•Direct and manage the maintenance of the platform to include tuning and configuration (monitors, rules, etc.)
•Support and facilitate the Incident Management process through collaboration with the Global Network Operations Centre
•Serve as a subject matter expert and management escalation point for monitoring systems to internal support teams
•Manage and maintain operations and maintenance for the suite of enterprise systems that enable monitoring services in line with Change Management processes
•Author, update and deliver reporting using the reporting platform in line with service and IT team needs
•Direct and deliver monitoring dashboards in line with requests from internal teams and stakeholders
•Direct and manage the Identification and resolution of technical problems associated to monitoring systems
•Routinely review monitoring systems and services to ensure reliability, stability and security
•A strong desire to produce quality work, adopt standards and adhere to those standards
•Facilitate and implement continual improvement to provide ongoing value of monitoring services to the business
•Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of relevant tools to support the business in meeting customer expectations and service requirements
•Work with Vendors to influence product development where appropriate
•Clear understanding on how Automation can help improve efficiencies and customer expectation
•Proven track record in managing complex automation solutions to enhance service delivery
•Identify opportunities to further enhance customer service and service delivery through automation and analytics
•Accountable for execution according to established standards, procedures, and processes
•Respond to and manage service issues and problems
•Responsible for awareness and compliance to policy and guidelines of the Information Security Management
•Report any breaches in information security or policies
Knowledge Sharing / Documentation
•Contribute to, produce and maintain processes, procedures, operational and architectural documentation
•Change Control - Ensure compliance with Processes and adherence to standards and documentation
•Assist in training new staff in technical processes and procedures
•Work with GTS leadership and applications teams in reviewing new documentation

In addition the team develops and maintains solutions built on varied technologies like Siebel, PeopleSoft Microsoft technologies and Lotus Notes. The setup has various groups which provide effective solutions to the customers by following a streamlined system development methodology and comprises of groups like Usability, Application Architecture, Development and Quality Assurance and Performance.
•8 years of broad-based IT experience with technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows server platforms,
•Strong working knowledge of large and complex system monitoring tool deployments
•Strong working knowledge in complex automation solutions incorporating many different tools
•Professional Qualifications are preferred, including:
oMicrosoft Qualifications – Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist(MCTS), Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) desired
•ITIL v3 Foundation Qualification desired
Education/Other: Bachelor's Degree
