Position Description

Basic Function:

The market insights analyst is responsible for executing the approved research plan to meet business objectives.  They focus on developing and executing market research with both internal and external partners/resources and use the information gathered to support corporate, industry and marketing strategy, product/solution marketing and management, and sales enablement.  This position will report to one of the Industry Marketing Directors.

  • Provide actionable, fact-based research and insight that align with objectives, goals and business decisions
  • Analyze and package quantitative and qualitative information for distribution
  • Develop and design surveys, interviews, focus group guides and usability studies that can be conducted with either external partners or internal constituents
  • Manage projects outsourced to third-party suppliers of primary and secondary research
  • Conduct market sizing/opportunity studies to identify new growth markets and segments
  • Implement processes, procedures and policies to improve data gathering, analysis and intelligence dissemination
  • Establish “early warning” system for key audiences that identifies new market forces and new regulations
  • Adopt and institutionalize standard analysis and assessment models

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics or related discipline required

  • Master’s degree/MBA preferred

  • 8+ years primary research experience

  • 5+ years online research experience

  • 5+ years data analytics / data modeling and reporting experience

  • Strong background in knowledge management

  • Previous sales enablement and/or channel marketing experience a plus

  • Knowledge of multivariable or sentiment analysis a plus
