Position Description
The Senior Compensation Specialist is a highly impactful role with ownership for the design, development, and management of short-term incentive compensation, sales incentive compensation and annual compensation review (merit) process for our global operations.

The incumbent is responsible for the design and global deployment of our annual compensation review process aligned with our pay for performance process, ongoing management, financial modelling and communications of our short-term variable compensation program as well as the design and effectiveness assessment for our sales incentive program in collaboration with the Sales Operations team. The Total Rewards Program Specialist will leverage her/his expertise and partnership skills with internal stakeholders and external experts to design and deploy these programs effectively.

The position is a member of the Global Total Rewards team and will work closely with Finance, Legal, Business Leaders and Human Resources Business Partners. The Total Rewards team is highly collaborative and team-orientated with professionals in the areas of Executive and Broad-based Compensation, Benefits and other Reward Programs.

Accountabilities
  • Manage all aspects of our Short-term Incentive Plan including design in collaboration with the Total Rewards leader, target setting, financial modelling, payout calculation and regular communications.
  • Assess and design the global annual compensation review process aligned with Flowserve’s values and behaviours and in close collaboration with our talent management and HR business partner team
  • Analyse and provide design recommendation for the sales incentive program in close collaboration with the sales operations team.
  • Ensure the data accuracy and translate it in a clear, concise, and business-relevant manner to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking studies for Flowserve’s incentive programs to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Partner with the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team to ensure successful delivery of incentive programs against internal data, reporting capabilities, and database administration.
  • Partner with key stakeholders including global communications and senior business leaders on communication these programs effectively in alignment with our values

Position Requirements

Experience Required:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field and CCP certification is preferred. Experience in lieu may be considered on an exception basis.
  • 5+ Years of progressive work experience, with ideally 2 years post advanced degree experience in Incentive Compensation and Annual Compensation Review processes
  • Compensation design experience
  • Understanding of process and program management and change management methodologies
  • Experience deploying compensation programs to larger scale organization
  • Experience preparing and presenting analytics and change recommendations for a senior management audience
  • Demonstrated experience partnering at multiple organizational levels and across remote teams
  • Extensive Excel knowledge including advanced functions
  • Experience working for global companies is preferred, but not required
