This position is responsible to develop and operate the experimental fabrication capabilities and producibility of electrical and mechanical parts, wiring and electrical component assemblies, and software capabilities to support the rapid prototyping organization.

Position Responsibilities:

- Lead the build methodology and execution of Rapid Prototyping electrical and mechanical components, parts and assemblies for new product design and build. -Experience with writing software code in rapid prototyping environment
- Execute the Project Maturation Development Cycle through partnering and collaborating with internal and industry-known technical subject matter experts (Technical Fellows/Technical Competency Leads), and manufacturing centers of excellence to ensure the alignment of software and electrical /mechanical components for Rapid Prototype part build strategy.
- Lead the integration and implementation of new methods, procedures and processes for implemented into the Rapid Prototyping Process.
- Develop current and future talent in Rapid Prototyping and Product Development principles.
- Manage internal and external relationships with build to print and partnered supplier development to ensure methods, procedures and build aspects meet requirements
- Owns and consults internal production, procurement, and quality on producibility inputs for approved methodologies in design.
- Establish Bell as a premiere manufacturer on part build in best practice areas like reduction of lead time, reducing defects and improving yield.
- Establish and foster relationships with Military and Commercial Program leaders and the Innovation Team to navigate the volatility of the product development cycle.



Position Qualifications:

- BS Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or BBA Operations Supply Chain Management related technical discipline
- At least 9 years in aerospace or other technical fields with a background in Engineering and Manufacturing.
- At least 9 years in experience of Mechanical/Electrical Design, Processes and Manufacture
- Manufacture of Electrical Components and Assemblies
- Exposure to Build to Print and Partnered Supplier Development with external vendors
- Exposure to Engineering Compliance Standards through Industry or corporate regulation
- Problem Solving mindset
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity
- Exposure to Mentor Graphics (Capital Harness Systems), DITMC
- Exposure to System Design Layout, Schematic/Wiring Diagrams, Integration with CATIA and Harness Flattening
- Exposure to Supplier Collaboration processes in Enovia (Technical Data Package creation, Supplier Data Requirements List, Intellectual Property Data Agreements, etc.)
- Exposure to CATIA and/or Enovia
- 3-5 years of experience in MRB
