Job Description
F-35 Fire Control Radar Integrated Product Team (IPT) position supporting full product life cycle development for the APG-81 Radar subsystem. The F-35 Fire Control Radar is comprised of a large active element phased array antenna and provides multi-functional capability to the aircraft including air-to-air and air-to-surface search, track, and identification as well as mapping and weapon support all in a hostile RF environment. The Fire Control Radar is a key element in the offensive and defensive capabilities of the F-35 weapon system with many opportunities for career growth. IPT tasks include system requirements derivation, system design including functional, pilot vehicle interface (PVI), and external interface elements, subcontract technical and program management, system/subsystem laboratory and flight test support, requirements verification, production support, and field support. Position will require subcontract program management including definition of subcontract scope, supplier proposal evaluation, and supplier progress management and risk mitigation. Technical responsibilities include performance predictions, system modeling, requirements management, signal interface definition and management, hardware/software design support, subsystem anomaly investigations and corrective action, requirements compliance verification, pilot training, and marketing support.

Position requires strong coordination, communication, and problem solving skills to manage all aspects of system/subsystem development, integration, and verification, requiring collaboration with multiple teams and technical and program status reporting to leadership and customer personnel. Individual must be self-motivated with an outstanding work ethic.

Must be able to travel a moderate amount domestically to subcontractor and US government facilities in support of subsystem development and test.

Must be able to obtain SAP clearances

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent (e.g. Math, Physics).

- Supplier management experience.

- Experience with airborne Radar or RF Systems

Desired skills
- Knowledge of airborne radar concepts, operations, implementation, aircraft integration, and usage.
- Experience in Project Management principals.
- Familiarity with standard Microsoft applications and data analysis tools (e.g. MSExcel, Matlab).
- Familiarity with JSF tools including SIMS and Dimensions.
- Familiarity with the F-35 Mission Systems design, especially the radar, but alternatively electronic warfare, fusion, and/or system design.
