Job Description
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to support the Program Production Engineering team. The focus of this role is to manage proposal activities for the Precision Fire Manufacturing Engineering team. This includes assisting with the coordination of all proposal activities during the entire life cycle of the proposal.

Activities include, but are not limited to, assisting with the creation of the Manufacturing Engineering Statement of Work, communication and collaboration with multiple disciplines within the program and production sites, supporting the estimation of required effort (labor, tooling, travel) for manufacturing engineering, documenting basis of estimate, and timely submission of estimates.

Major Responsibilities/Activities
• Communicating with the contract manager to relay information to the manufacturing team and manufacturing site support personnel
• Collaborating with multiple disciplines to collect data, build estimates, and submit documents on timely manner
• Team member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), communicating information to the IPT and manufacturing engineering team lead
• Coordinates the collection and accumulation of data, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments
• Participates in pricing reviews with management and customer representatives
• Support the creation of a Tangible Item List (TIL)

Basic Qualifications
• Ability to interpret Statement of Work, CPA, and other contractual documents
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (mechanical and electrical)
• Effective at communicating with a cross functional team
• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education

Desired skills
• SAP experience
• Intermediate skill level in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience in interpreting Statement of Work, CPA, and other contractual documents.
• Previous work history as a process or manufacturing engineer
• Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to create a successful cross functional team
• Collaboration and development of enduring business relationships that resulted in successful projects and actions
• Previous experience on a production program or as a process engineer
