Job Description
The Associate Manager will be responsible for oversight and execution of the monthly build plan for the assigned shift or business unit in Sikorsky’s Rotor Blade Repair and Overhaul facility. Responsibilities include planning and sequencing work priorities for all site shared resources to support required goals and objectives for Blade Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO). Accountable for all aspects of quality, cost, and schedule relating to area of responsibility. Knowledge of 6S activities will be a plus. The associate manager will be responsible for employee OJT, compliance and certification training. The ability to motivate employees and hold them accountable is essential; must have exceptional people-skills and ability to take appropriate disciplinary steps in-line with the company policies as necessary. Will fill in for Manager and Supervisors as required.

Basic Qualifications
- Experience managing a team in technical development.
- Experience in continuous Improvement Activities
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience

Knowledge of FAA Regulations and CFR Part 145 preferred.

Desired skills
Experience in Lean Maintenance and Manufacturing concepts.
Experience in business metrics to drive performance (i.e. cost, schedule, quality).
Experience with LM organizational environment to include production engineering, manufacturing engineering, production control, and industrial engineering.
Experience in manufacturing/productions methodologies including etching, production painting, machining and composite repair.
Excellent communication skills.
Technical and strategic leadership abilities; must drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
Ability to make timely and sound decisions and understand the financial impacts of decisions and actions of the team.
Highly skilled in verbally communicating objectives and requirements
