Job Description
This position is for a classified system administrator with experience in cyber security, advanced system configuration and IT compliance. This position supports multiple projects / internal customers.
Performs technical planning, system administration, integration, verification and validation for computer systems and operating systems intended for support of engineering programs. Design, development, and implementation of computer systems related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users or projects to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Provide advanced systems administrations techniques for existing/future engineering projects, programs or systems.
Duties include:
-Provide advanced computer systems administration and operating system maintenance for Windows/Linux.
-Perform guidance and management for hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting and maintenance on multiple architectures.
-Responsible for design and implementation of new and existing computer systems.
-Perform time saving program and scripting techniques to enhance performance and reliability of (PCs, servers, laptops, storage, and networks, etc.).
-Validates system security requirements definition and analysis establishes system security designs, verifies security requirements with auditing agencies and programs.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/combined education/military experience, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.
-Ability to maintain a security clearance, and customer's acceptance.
-Active Secret security clearance (investigation within the past 5 years).
-Prior background/experience as systems administrator, capable of displaying skills in the administration of heterogeneous networks including Windows 7/10, Windows Server16, and/or Linux domains.

Desired skills
-Prefer Security+, CISSP, or other IAT Level II/III security certification.
-Knowledge of RMF/JSIG security controls and environments
-Knowledge of advanced High Performance Computing systems (HPC) and network and storage systems related to simulation environments
-Advanced skills developing and maintaining updates on Windows and Linux/Unix
