This individual will ensure an exceptional employee and customer experience in alignment with the organization’s goals by facilitating effective sales training curriculum for the purpose of transferring knowledge and creating expertise for learners.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Creates an engaging sales learning environment in which all learners are fully capable of demonstrating learning outcomes at an expert level.
Positively engages learners using adult learning theory.
Accurately determines the most effective training methods and settings to correspond with the type of training needed and/or the environment in which the training will be applied.
Proactively seeks solutions and enhancements to training courses and content.
Builds and maintains positive relationships with all necessary business stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and accessibility of training content.
Works closely with other Sales Trainers on the team to share best practices, positively drive team performance, and ensure consistency across all classes and locations.
Proactively researches, updates, and communicates business updates in a timely manner.
Contributes to a high performance team by collaborating and supporting each other in achieving and exceeding business expectations.
Proactively engages in personal leadership development and continuous learning about all aspects of the business.
Analyze sales metrics and data to determine trends, then create and execute on strategic plans.
Continues following-up on new-hire success beyond the new-hire training experience.
Ideal candidate will have:
Sales experience strongly preferred
Leadership experience as a trainer, supervisor, or manager of people
2+ years of experience in adult training (sales training is preferred)
Bachelor's degree in business, adult education, or related field preferred
Proficiency with multimedia authoring tools, such as Adobe Captivate, Illustrator, InDesign, Articulate Storyline, etc. is strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experienced in creating pre-and post-assessments
Experience with instructional design methodologies preferred
Experience writing training materials
Knowledge and experience with the practical use of adult learning principles
Experience dealing with different personalities to overcome obstacles and successfully obtain goals
LMS and/or knowledge base experience is a plus
