Summary Description

Directs consistent implementation of marketing strategies across assigned designated market areas (DMAs), including promotional calendar activities, new store openings, transfers, and relocations. Helps lead sales growth in assigned markets by setting strategic direction for team, including guiding clear communication to franchise owners and local agencies. Helps Support Center marketing team understand perspective of owners while identifying opportunities to reduce owner angst to improve participation and execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accountable for sales and transaction growth, new store opening average weekly sales, and strong franchise owner relationships within assigned DMAs.
• Lead and direct responsibilities for Field Marketing Managers. Create a positive, supportive team environment for field marketing managers, finding ways to ensure consistent communication and clear direction when working from a variety of locations.
• Lead analysis of market performance, consumer research, and competitor information to prepare promotional marketing recommendations to assigned DMAs.
• Prepare and communicate learnings and best practices across marketing and ops teams.
• Partner with Support Center to prepare ramping store/market marketing plans, set goals for improvement, monitor and report against performance
• Partner with VP of Media to define the media strategies to be used to grow markets. Lead consistent implementation of broadcast, print, and digital media strategies.
• Manage local agency relationships, aligning them with market goals, strategic marketing initiatives, and evaluating performance of agency against defined success metrics.
• Work with Ops partners and field marketing managers to set DMA meeting objectives and provide relevant marketing support and content.
• Provide regular insight and analysis of store and DMA sales trends. Responsible for ensuring each market has an approved Market Plan and that this Plan is evaluated and adjusted throughout the year based on performance.
• Works with VP Field Marketing to identify team building, development, and training opportunities for Field Marketing Team.


Requirements
Required Qualifications

Education: This position requires at least a college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: 10+ years experience in field marketing with increasing responsibilities. Previous experience managing others.

Position Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be able to manage multiple DMAs and agencies, multiple sales building projects and assigned projects as necessary. Excellent follow-up skills are needed.
• Advanced knowledge of effective broadcast and digital media strategies and available tactics.
• Experience evaluating media buys and post-buy analysis.
• Serve as the primary voice of PMI to the franchise community and internal field team for all print and merchandising elements.
• Customer-service mentality with owners and team.
• Ability to leverage data to improve marketing efforts.
• Requires data analysis skill to scorecard/assess ROI for PMI and franchise owners.
• Intermediate MS Office and Internet skills required.
• Ability to travel by air and ground.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with franchise owners, vendors and staff.
• Maintain accountability for attendance and schedule.
