We currently have an opening for our Payroll Manager position.

We currently have an opening for a Corporate Payroll Manager position.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages a team of 3 Payroll Administrators
  • Ensures payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
  • Oversees compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
  • Prepares and review payroll account reconciliations
  • Reviews and improve payroll policies and procedures
  • Ensure the maintenance of current employee data systems in coordination with the HR department including maintaining records for leave eligibility including but not limited to vacations, holidays, PTO) sick leave and any required state or federal required leave eligibility and transfers, promotions, merit increase, demotion and other actions that impact employee compensation
  • Understands the rules and regulations associated with payroll processing at the state and federal level and ensures that all payroll is process in accordance with local federal and state statutes
  • Support all internal and external audits related to payroll
  • Interpret new legislation impacting payroll and makes recommendation on updates to processes and procedures related to changes
  • Manage and resolve issues relating to payroll production
  • Compiles payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume, bonuses, and commissions; monies to be withheld for taxes; employee contributions to insurance and retirement plans; from time sheets and other records
  • Computes wages and deductions, reviews for accuracy, and posts to payroll records
  • Updates master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages including but not limited to federal and state tax exemptions, insurance coverage, required and voluntary deductions, compensation increases, promotions, and/or transfer of employees between departments
  • Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions, including weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly annually or on demand
  • Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures for payroll process
  • Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
  • Prepares and review payroll account reconciliations

 

 

 

Skill / Requirements

Our ideal candidate will have:

*A Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field

*10 plus years of related experience, with multi-state payroll and high volume payroll processing.

*5 plus years leading and directing a payroll staff.

*CPP Certification preferred
