Ideal candidate will have experience in a legal/accounting environment or corporate legal environment.

- Legal experience.
- Accuracy in work product with excellent proofreading skills as well as written and oral communications skills.
- Ability to act independently using solid judgment.
- Good attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle TI confidential matters with discretion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to use multiple software applications.
- Ability to maintain multiple large databases, including maintaining users and running reports.
- Capable of performing internet searches and learning IP Manager, Concur Expense Manager, Hummingbird and Legal Tracker.
- Ability to get along well with a multitude of personality types.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Good organization skills.

This candidate, will provide full-docket administrative support to patent lawyers and other patent activity. Type/draft patent documents and correspondence. Utilize USPTO procedures relating to patent application prosecution; record keeping and follow-ups. Utilize TI patent database to monitor patent dockets for timely response to Office Actions. Administrative responsibility for amendments and their associated paperwork. Backup to maintain and monitor large databases. Send electronic filings to USPTO and interact effectively with TI inventors and USPTO examiners. Support lawyers expense reports and monitor AMEX Corporate charge. Other general admin duties as needed.

We are looking for candidates that have ability to relieve assigned lawyers and other patent personnel of a wide variety of administrative patent duties, utilizing broad knowledge of patent prosecution procedures, databases, functions, general operating methods and policies of TI’s Law Department and the company.

Candidate will need to maintain high standards of professionalism as well as actively participate in a team environment. Candidate must maintain high standards of confidentiality, trustworthiness, discretion and professionalism.

Possess high degree of interpersonal skills needed to tactfully assist all levels of the organization, customers and outside callers. Should be a positive influence to the department, a strong team player and have a willingness to participate on special committees and attend meetings as required.

Position requires timeliness, responsiveness and ability to complete tasks in short, but reasonable turnaround. Must be a self starter and work with minimum supervision.
