About the Job
Job Responsibilities:
• Timely, accurate execution of all business accounting activities, including WW P&L and balance sheet, intercompany pricing, inventory valuation, cost classification, reserves, R&D project accounting and assessments, business assessments, operational reporting, and all other financial close-related activities.
• Work with Business Unit F&O Manager and Finance manager to ensure results reported are in compliance with GAAP and TI and SC accounting policies and procedures.
• Analyze cost and revenue information and proactively work with Business Unit management and planning personnel to understand transitions and variances to forecast.
• Prepare and present quarterly Actuals Review to Business Unit management team. Understand and be able to explain relationships between operational performance and financial results.
• Prepare and present monthly cost center overhead and R&D project actuals to cost center managers and program managers.
• Coordinate the quarterly OTC costing cycle for the Business Unit - understand cost build-up of device OTCs, effect of engineering ParmDB inputs, multi-factory flows, multi-chip modules, external manufacturing and TI internal pricing methodologies, impact analysis of OTC changes on inventory and gross margin.
• Coordinate with planners to prepare quarterly Salability & Obsolescence analysis.
• Independently determine the need for and appropriateness of balance sheet adjustments, such as inventory reserves, expense accruals, rebates, ship & debit activity.
• Participate in quarterly and annual audits activities including Internal Controls Checklist compliance and ICCR (S-Ox).
• Participate on cross-functional or cross-business teams aimed at cost reduction or process improvement.
• Support Software and Contract accounting requirements for licensing, cost tracking, reimbursement (NRE) and inventory tracking
• Prepare audit schedules and fulfill other compliance requirements

Minimum requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, and a minimum of 3-7 years relevant experience. Professional certification a plus but not required.
• Requires very strong organizational and time management skills. Must frequently work on multiple projects or tasks with firm deadlines. Independent prioritization of tasks is required to complete all work accurately and on time and deliver results with minimal direct supervision.
• Must have strong analytical skills, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. Ability to look at the big picture and determine if what you see makes sense.
• Fundamental understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and products.
• Must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in managerial cost accounting.
• Strong PC skills including proficiency in all MS Office software.
• Must have clear and effective communication and presentation skills. Teaming and consensus-building are critical. Must successfully interface with all levels of management across a broad range of functional disciplines.

• Knowledge of TI financial systems (SAP, Finance Datamart, Business Objects and BPC), business processes, and accounting policies and procedures.
