About the Job
This job requires working in a wafer fab cleanroom environment and spending 8-9 hrs in the factory with manufacturing direct reports. The desired candidate will have previous experience transitioning to new roles quickly and effectively, learning new concepts, and being self-motivated to meet objectives in a rapid paced work environment.

Experience two different assignments – start in a challenging role inside a TI manufacturing site or on an engineering team, and after 18-24 months you’ll rotate to a second role designed to broaden your experiences and grow your expertise.

The candidate must be a team player who can work with supervisors and engineers to achieve business goals. The successful candidate will also have excellent people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, influence others within and across teams, and relate to individuals from various backgrounds, experiences, and skills. The ability to successfully motivate and enable others to perform at a high level is fundamental to the job role. Experience with training and developing others or leading teams is a plus.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage workgroup in semiconductor manufacturing wafer fab to achieve manufacturing objectives.
• Ensure safety, facilitate training, manage and oversee resource allocation
• Understand material flow into and out of work group. Reduce Human Error Scrap.
• Drive continuous improvement activities on shift for cycle time and productivity.
• Motivate and coach workgroup
• Plan and administer policies and procedures.
• Lead and implement 5S efforts in a manufacturing facility start-up environment on designated shift.
• Select and develop personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
• Ability to escalate production issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Learn processes to prevent scrap occurrence, poor quality and lost cycle time.
• Communicate process changes, production goals, and help resolve issues involving the engineering support groups.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing and technical issues that impact manufacturing, costs, cycle time, etc. in a highly automated factory.
• The Manufacturing Supervisor will provide immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals. The position may or may not have direct reports.
• Proven ability to perform in a teaming environment through influencing and execution of projects in support of Fab start-up.
• Drive audit scores to 100%. Work to optimize area layout. Provide smooth shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operational Engineering, Management, Organizational Leadership and Supervision or related degree
• Minimum Cumulative 3.0 GPA

Preferred Qualifications:
•- Have knowledge of manufacturing sciences, manufacturing process and equipment
- Readily accept changes in the organization and business
- Take the initiative to influence through peer and direct reports
- Adapt easily to changing priorities
- Seek to proactively prevent counterproductive manufacturing events
- Demonstrate proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software tools
