Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.
The Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking to recruit a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member within the Adult Medicine Division based on our Dallas campus. The successful candidate will practice part-time, providing inpatient oncology and adult medicine clinical services at the University of Texas Southwestern (UTSW) Medical Center - Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in North Texas. The faculty member’s primary teaching responsibilities will include development and delivery of didactic, laboratory, problem-based, and experiential teaching within the School of Pharmacy curriculum. The successful candidate will provide leadership for the PGY2 Oncology residency and engage in scholarship.



Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity
The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with a PGY2 residency in Oncology or equivalent practice and teaching experience. Board certification is strongly preferred. Licensure or eligibility to be licensed in the state of Texas is required. Professional level will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
