    About the Role

    Senior Voice & Collaboration Architect to join our fast pace growth team, focused on design, implementation and troubleshooting of voice solutions.

    Serves as a IT-Eng team lead/ individual contributor to deliver technology solutions; Responsible for engineering design, support, configuration, testing, optimization, and implementation of telephony solutions. Documents all pertinent info as it relates to new installs, expansions & upgrades, call center solutions and implementations.

    Impact: Create a state of the art unified voice platform for all of Uber ops and sales. With a global architecture and millions of minutes of voice traffic.

    What You'll Do / What You'll Need / Bonus Points / About the Team

    What You’ll Do
    • Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Voice technical architecture and design: Develops and implements physical design and technical architecture of VOIP / telecom networks by analyzing existing data and recommending solutions based on capacity forecast and analysis.
    • Lead engineering and support on all UC infrastructure projects including but not limited to session border controllers, voice gateways, voice circuits.
    • Set up, configuring, and testing, Voice servers (Call Manager etc), Network LAN switches, session controllers (SBC), firewalls, routers and access gateways
    • Troubleshoot and maintain hardware/software products as well as upgrading and migrating of voice infrastructure
    • Ability to deploy packages and routing to AWS, direct connect,,
    • Understanding of Web RTC, Genesys ( call center product), E-911 system
    • Review data monitoring stats and confirms SLAs with platforms and carriers are met.
    • Responsible for maintaining customer telephone management system database/ metrics
    • Global voice vendor management
    • Documentation and process.

    What You’ll Need
    • Active CCNP (or CCIE) certification with specialization in Voice or Collaboration required at time of hire
    • 8 + of experience managing global enterprise VoIP and Unified Communications systems required
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience acceptable
    • Experience with network configuration, knowledge of call managers, unified messaging, Genesys and IVR systems
