Weaver’s International Tax team is looking for a Senior Associate to join their growing team. The International Tax team gives our clients local service on a global scale. Wherever our clients’ business takes them – from Argentina to Zimbabwe – Weaver is there. Our International Tax Services include, but are not limited to transfer pricing strategies, IC-DISC export incentives, return preparation for expatriates, global structuring and much more.
An International Tax Senior Associate assists in developing and delivering a client-specific approach to international tax issues through thorough research and planning activities. This role performs complex tax research to formulate tax-planning strategies while considering the implications to U.S. and international operations, as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy while maintaining compliance with tax and trade regulations. A Senior Associate is a team player who exhibits initiative, accepts responsibility, communicates effectively, and manages multiple concurrent assignments of varying sizes and complexity. Education and Skills
- 2-4 + years’ experience in public accounting or its equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, Master’s degree preferred
- CPA candidate required, CPA strongly preferred
- Experience preparing international forms for US multinationals (5471, 8858, 8865, 1116, 1118, 3520, 3520-A, 1042, etc.)
- Experience preparing US Federal Tax Returns for foreign corporations
- Experience researching domestic and international tax issues for the firm’s clients
- Team-orientation and strong interpersonal skills
